Three people are in a restaurant - the bill comes to 30
pounds - each person puts in 10 pounds - the manager of the
restaurant tells the waiter - "they are good customers, give
them 5 pounds back" - the waiter being a little dishonest
gives them each back one pound and pockets 2 pounds - this
would mean that each paid 9 pounds for his meal - the waiter
pocketed 2 pounds. Now 3 times 9 is twenty seven - clever
boy Jon San the waiter pocketed 2 pounds - where's the other
pound?
