"One Touch" wins at
Lord's
Within days of going live the new ticketing system at Lord's
The Home of Cricket, has sold over £1 million of the new style tickets for the
2004 season. Members of the Club (MCC) and members of
the public alike have been surprised and delighted to
receive their tickets for some of next year's Test Matches
within a day or two of sending in their application form. In
the past applicants had to wait months before they received
their tickets.Such is the demand for tickets at Lord's the MCC has decided
to try to give as many people as possible the chance to see
a game at Lord's. To that end they operate a
sophisticated combination of postal
and Internet ballots. Later on during the cricket season
tickets will be sold over the counter, via the telephone and
on the Internet. This unusual and complex mixture of
sales channels has led the Club, under the Project
Management of Stephen Wilder (Partner of GPW Consultancy) to
develop an in-house bespoke ticketing system, using the
latest state of the art database and development tools from
Microsoft and the "One Touch" philosophy devised by GPW
Consultancy. The "Net" effect was a comprehensive
bespoke ticketing system installed on time and on budget and
lot of happy customers. Place your orders now, it is
open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at
www.lords.org

and join in the "Life of Riley" at her home in the Loire
Valley in France. The many reviews in glossy magazines atest
to the success of her approach to life.
For Rachel the system also offers her a comprehensive sales

latest news stories direct from Lord's are so popular we
have had to plug the site directly in to the UK's Internet
